Corrections
If something on MyPlumbingPal is wrong — a code reference that's out of date, a measurement that's off, a step that doesn't work the way we described — please tell us.
How to report an error
Email editor@myplumbingpal.com with:
- The article URL.
- The passage or claim that's wrong, quoted verbatim.
- What the correct information is, and ideally a source we can check.
If you prefer, use the contact form and include the same details.
Our turnaround
We aim to review every correction request within seven days. For safety-sensitive errors — anything that could lead to injury, property damage, or code violation — we aim to act within twenty-four hours.
What happens after a correction
When we fix an article, we do three things:
- Update the article text.
- Bump its
lastRevieweddate. - Add an entry to the article's Revision history section at the foot of the page, in plain language: what was wrong, what's now correct, and when the change was made.
Material corrections are visible in the revision history so that readers can see what changed and judge the article accordingly.
What we won't change
We don't remove criticism or correction requests from the public record. We don't edit old revision-history entries — they stand as a log. If a reader reports an error we can't reproduce or don't agree with, we'll explain why in our reply rather than silently ignoring it.
